[collectibles] X300 stuff

Since I’ve just bought an X300 ('96 XJ6 3.2) I’m now naturally on the
lookout for “stuff” related to my new car. On the top of my wishlist:

  • A metal scale model of an X300, BRG, scale 1:18
  • A nice coffee-table book with the story of the X300 and
    lots of pictures etc.
  • An original brochure for the '96 XJ series in English

Recommendations, places to look etc.?

Your luck is partly in! I have a spare UK '96 range brochure plus its
matching dealer presentation binder that itself has lots of nice
drawings, pics. illustrations etc etc. See link for the brochure:

http://www.jag-lovers.org/brochures/96bro_jld-10-01-96.html

There is also a UK press pack for that year that shouldn’t be too
difficult to get hold of, has a few B&W pics plus descriptive text.
Try the contact list on the ‘Collecting’ page link of the
Collectibles homepage. Plus of course the USA versions

Not sure of Gary Oxley of Jag Model Club is around yet but he’ll know
of a model. Can’t say I’ve seen a 1/18th though. Books I have no
exact idea but Porter has almost certainly done one. Try a search on
Amazon?

I’ll contact you off list re brochure.

Whoohee!

I’ve already got a Maisto 1:18 model of a Mark II and am quite impressed
with it. I’d like something similar of an X300.

Amazon?

Good idea. Thanks!
