[collectibles] XJ40 brochures wanted

Hi folks,
I’m Jeb Boyd, V-12 list admin and I am hoping to purchase a '93-'94 XJ40 after a bit…

I want a six cylinder car… I’m thinking that doing a little homework is a good idea…

I have a 1991 Jaguar sedans brochure and one for 1992… They are US brochures…it looks like the '91 is a JAG350392 and the '92 is a JAG350395…

I think that’s the part numbers…

They are in average to fair condition and what I am looking for is 1994 specifically, I’ll take 1993…

It would be nice to have both for comparison.

I’m thinking I’d rather have a '94 car, but if it turns out that the '93 is identical, I won’t rule out a '93.

If anyone has a brochure that they would either trade for these two, fine or if someone just wants to sell me one, that’s fine, too.

Cheers,

Jeb

USA MY 1993 is called ‘The beauty of owning a 1993 Jaguar’, ref JAG
350399 … 160M 9/92

USA MY 1994 is simply titled ‘Jaguar’, ref JAG 350408 … 300M 9/93

These are the large prestige brochures. There are also smaller
varieties.

According to the USA 1994 Jaguar on Show’ press info (extracts below)

For 1994 , all models feature a passenger side airbag, significant
appearance change with color-keyed front and rear bumpers, integrated
front spoiler. All sedans have stylish new road wheels, XJ6 new 3-flute
seat style, integrated cupholders (wow!) electrochromic rear view
mirror, modified column switch gear, service intervals rise from 7,500
to 10,000. Pirelli P4000 across all models. Telephone wiring harness
standard. New 13 bolt camshaft cover, air cleaner, exhaust manifolds,
Water heated throttle body.

Can’t find any spares though. 1993 UK is already on Brochure site

http://www.jag-lovers.org/brochures/xj6_93e.html

and those are scheduled for the future.

Make you mind up time!

Well Tony,
I looked at both the '93 and '94 UK brochures and the most
obvious difference is in the lighting…

The '93 and '94 model years here in the US AFAIK only had the aero or
composite headlamps…which I really like!

Apparently, there were differences in the wheel offerings…I have only
seen those lattice style wheels on XJ-Ss here…

Anyway, I will continue my quest as it does seem that the UK got a few
different features…

Do you have any interest in my '91 and '92 US brochures for scanning? From: “Tony Bailey”
