[collectibles] XKR Silverstone - revised press pack

There is a revised press pack for the XKR Silverstone available on
Brochures. It now comes with seven photographs, an image CD-ROM (20 of
the images are shown) and seven pages of revised text. Most of the
photos were taken at a Silverstone F1 practice session with the XKR on
the track and with the drivers.

Someone asked me while back for scans of the 1951 C-Type folder
varieties, these are there as well now. There is also a scan of factory
letter indicating that these and the later D-Type folders were made
purely for homologation purposes rather than as sales items.

Also an XJ220-C folder and a nice pic of the first SS100 3.5L (CKV 250)
outside the Foleshill factory.

Tony,

I am drooling ! The SS100 is stuning but when you you see the sign on the
door, you really visualize the PR nightmare the name must have been at the
time

and these wheels and brakes on the Silvertstone XKR !!! If only they would
import these here in the US… They did pick the best color for that
special series didn’t they !

Did you see any number on performance improvement with the 20" and handling
pack ? I wonder how much better the handling gets…

When I was at the factory a few weeks ago I saw a Silverstone whilst walking
between buildings. Unfortunately it was in the parking area for cars that need
re-working and was covered in little stick on coloured arrows pointing to all
the imperfections. If you ask nicely Jaguar may sell you this one cheap!
