[concours] ANY tires

The only problem with 130 MPH tyres is if your Jag is capable of doing
150 MPH {+} and you don’t have tyres that’ll stand up to THAT speed - &
if you have an accident that the better tyres would have either lessened
or negated that accident - your insurance company will NOT cover you!

You must have tyres that are at least capable of what your auto is.

Daniel:

Just my natural curiosity I guess - must be my Germanic ancestry. The
Classic Range tire now made by Dunlop is the 185HR15 SP Sport, presumably

good to 130mph if you have what it takes.

Good point. I’ve often wondered, though, what the original tires would be
rated for if judged by today’s standards…? I’ll bet we’d be shocked !

Not that I’ve researched this, but I’ll wager that even a medium grade
modern tire would be superior to the originals.

Thoughts?
