The last Jaguar XJS was a 1966 6.0 engine manufactured in
Browns Lane, U.K.
The photo I have seen shows a pair of fog lamps installed
on the front spoiler.
I have found the Jaguar part for the
1965/1966 jaguar XJS I believe. It is Jaguar Part number
DAC10769.
Was this only for U.K. Spec models?
Would this be original for U.S. 1996 Jaguar XJS Spec. cars
with the 4.0 engines?
I would like to install them.

Yes those were approved and offered for the US. A warning
though this was a kit and they were mounted properly with
separate switches. The Kit was JLM 11358 which included 2
DAC 10769 fog lamps.–

If you’re thinking of buying and fitting the lights, do make
sure you know exactly the bracket configuration on the back
of the lamps.
The lamps and brackets are not available new so you’ll have
to find some used or New Old Stock parts. They seem to go
for very big money!
The lights fitted to these late XJSs look the same as the
earlier lights except the mount plate bracket on the back of
the lamp is reversed compared to the earlier lights. I have
seen lots of the incorrect lamps fitted and they will sit
lower on the car.
