Hi Ron & List
They are anything but boring to show (at least to me), lighten up and detail
your XJ6 and show it off! After all it IS a Jaguar!

We love and show our 1991 Vanden Plas, it is driven to & from ALL the
concours, never been in a trailer, and has been very well received, has won
two “Best of Show” awards in JCNA concours events.

1999 JCNA North American Chmp. class C13, 99.9933 points
2000 JCNA North American Chmp. class C13, 100.00 points
2001 so far, 99.99, 99.97, 100.00, 100.00 and two more concours to go, we’ll
see.

It is possible to successfully show a late model Jaguar, challenging at least.

David

You’re right, any Jaguar should be shown and belongs on a concours field.

however, when it comes to late models, like X300 and XK8s on, there are very
little originality issues and it just turns into a detailing competition.
It’s very nice that people keep their cars in absolute 100 % condition but
it is a different kind of competition. Take it one step further and you
start worrying about a stone chip here and a scuff mark on the leather
there, reducing the level of enjoyment.

Whenever I take the XKR to a concours, it goes in display.

just my opinion…

Pascal

PS David., thks for the results, I’ll process them tonight for the JCNA site
with updated national standings----- Original Message -----
