Hi all,

This isn’t meant to be a plug for my site, but, after a telephone call with
Les at www.jaguarmagazine.com I am proud to announce that I am the only
Classified site in the world who has this rare CLASSIC SERIES 1 XJC for sale
on my site.

I, and Les would like to see this car back in Coventry where it belongs,
however from the conversation I had with Les, it seems that they don’t want
to buy it.

What I would like to do is set up an e-mail petition to them and maybe get
them to do something about it.

THE CAR BELONGS IN ENGLAND.

What are your thoughts.
Best Regards,

Daniel…

I am working on a book about Jaguars. Is there any possibility of getting some
photos of this Series 1 XJC? Photos need to be on slide film, which I will be
glad to send to you. If you can help, let me know and I will send you more
details.

Hi Daniel Davidson & all – Daniel, Paul Skilleter in JAGUAR SALOON CARS,
p/635, lists: Model - Jaguar XJ6C; Body style - Two-Door Saloon; Engine -
4235cc; Public Announcement - Sep 1973; Produced From - Sep 1973/Nov 1977;
Price on Introduction - L 4260 (pounds); Number Made - 2606 RHD, 3899 LHD;
Chassis number Commences - 2J 1001 RHD, 2J 50001 LHD.

Paul’s “Number Made” indicates a lack of real rarity (6,505 total in LHD
and RHD) – perhaps the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) already has an
example, thus the apparent lack of interest at Browns Lane. Take care –

Sounds like you ought to be talking to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust
(JDHT) - I would have thought they would jump at the chance of getting a
hold of this rare beast.

Craig

Hi Craig,

As far as I know, the owner, Les Hughes, has already asked them if they
wanted to buy it a little while ago, and they didn’t seem very interested.
They already have the last one ever made, and in this respect, they should
have the very first one.

The idea was to create an e-mail petition and tell JDHT how we all feel
about it.

Cheers,

Daniel…----- Original Message -----

Mr. Davison,
You have just violated Jag-Lovers Policy,
in regards to crossposting.
You have been removed from this list.

Your views, about the sale of your vehicle, are irrelevant to this list.
If you feel so strongly that the vehicle belongs in Coventry,
why not donate it.

Daniel,
I will allow reinstatement, to the Lumps List.

I interpreted the posting, as being a car you were selling.
I am almost sure, others would also.

This led me to believe that you were, crossposting,
in extreme violation of our policy, which,
resulted in my swift action in removing you.

A “plug” for your site, is allowable here,
as long as you are not a commercial entity,
or if so, you do so, in response to a lister’s (specific)
inquiry for a part, or service.

Hi Charlie,

OK I’m stupid, I shouldn’t have done that, however, all I want is for all
the Jaguar enthusiasts is to help bring back a classic home.

It isn’t even my vehicle. The car lives in Australia, I live in Shipley,
West Yorkshire, England. I personally don’t know the man who is selling it,
apart from a brief conversation with him on the telephone tonight.

I don’t want to plug my site, incidentally. all my services are free for
all, but I just felt that evrybody should know about the car.

All I wanted is people to e-mail me privately and off list with a respose to
JDHT in respect of getting this car back to Coventry.

I apologise if I have offended anybody on the list, I really didn’t mean to.

Best Regards and please put me back on the list,

Daniel
