A question really more for the XK Forum, but since some of it is attached to the engine…
Tadek took lots of pictures of his OTS before he restored it. The heater is the same.
Here is what I see from his web site.
Starting at the front.
double banjo on the side port of the water pump
hose about 6" long connecting banjo with steel front return pipe C4401
steel front return pipe C4401 with curved ends running under the carbs
hose about 6" long connecting steel front return pipe C4401 to steel intermediate return pipe C4400 at rear of engine
steel intermediate return pipe C4400 with bend between engine and heater rear port
short elbow hose 2-3" long connecting steel pipe C4400 to heater rear port
short hose 2" long connecting heater front port to heater valve
hose about 8-12" long connecting heater valve upper port to hose barb on rear of intake manifold
A little more cross checking reveals that the RHD FHC and DHC had a different front return pipe C4836, probably a slightly different bend or something because of the RHD steering column.
