Cranks, but does nt fire and run.n

Thanks, Jochen.

I prepared for the session by hooking up my Smart charger for a few hours to bring te battery up to 100% charged.

And, yesterday, let it run for a few minutes. verification. All good.

Rain is here, so i will delay restoring insurance and registration, then take a spin.

It was outside for the big rains. Nicely washed, courtesy Mother Nature. It llooks great.

As it has been dormant a spell, i best air u the tires. they look low!

Solder vs crmp talk wit son, on hold.

I thnk the wire got hot by contact with the nearby EGR pie!!!

Whatever, fixed and done.

I have seen folks use tose hi tech commectors. prett slick, I gotta say.

Had they been aroud when i did the swap, i might have gone for them. The oes arud then were not impressve.

Don’t worry Carl!

Modern connectors may have their merits, but look rather out of place in a Jag engine compartment (even if an LS1 is resident;-). OTOH, a solder joint that has lasted for 20 years in this hostile environment can’t have been that bad!

I’m fairly sure that you and your son have done everything to make this joint outlast the rest of the car!

Enjoy Sunday!

Best regards

Jochen
