[DaimLan] Back 250 v8 badge: was it placed on every issued car?

Hi everibody,
In order to restore my friend’s v8 as original as we
can I would like to know if the ‘‘daimler’’ badge on
the back of the car (most of the time on the lefr,
while on the right there was the ‘‘v8’’ badge) was a
farm signature or an aftermatket positionation of
someone else.
Can u help me?–

In reply to a message from Thruxton@rm sent Mon 23 Apr 2012:

It depends on whether it is an automatic or manual car . All
automatics had the badges on the lower right hand portion of the
bootlid , with ‘‘automatic’’ and ‘‘V8’’ being the scripts. The manual
had ‘’ Daimler’’ in place of the ‘‘automatic’’–
