If you want to fit wider than standard tyres to a V8-250 you should bear in mind two things. Firstly the spare will not fit in the spare wheel well unless you cut it out and weld an extension strip in all around but more importantly, the clearance between tyre and wheel arch is marginal already, particularly when going over a bump at full lock. My own car has done this with standard radials and my brother had wide alloys on his and the car had extensions on the front wheel arches, and IIRC, no spats at the rear end. Even with the extensions he still had the tyres wearing themselves out scraping against the front wheel arches on full lock.
