Just finished reading an interesting article in Jag World number120
about v8 rebuilds. One recommendation…‘use a good quality oil’ for
these vehicles but of course the writer does not give any
recommendations, grade or brands. I use Penrite Medium Classic, my
V8 has 72000miles on the clock and exhibits the proper oil pressure
etc. My concern is that Penrite packaging and advertisements does
not state whether it’s a 20/50 oil and has no standards quoted.
Any views please.

I have just filled my v8 with Penrite HPR30 which is 20 /60, I have used
this oil for several years and it works well at all speeds and motorways.
It also replaces SAE30.

Ring Penrite! See web site for 1800 number!
The oil would seem to be correct but ensure it has sufficient corrosion
inhibitors for your car as it will be spending most of it’s time in the
garage.

20/60 is great in Oz as the temp’s get up a bit!
I use this in all my 20/50 cars and bikes.
