Dewis "The Greatest test Driver of all Time" Youtube

I hadn’t seen this video till it wound up in my YouTube feed today.
I found it interesting, maybe you will too. (Its been posted on JL, but not in E-types)
A nice history lesson. RIP Norman.

Dewis

I had seen it before but certainly worth watching again under the circumstances. Up until he was describing the crash an Le Mans he pretty much had a smile on his face the whole time and it’s obvious this hero was having fun and setting records and helping to make the legend. He said it was a “one off job” and he was a one off man. RIP Norman!!!

that was a great feature even though I had seen some of the clips several times before.

RIP, Norman

I’ve lived my whole life on this side of the pond and I’ve never heard that saying… What does “One off” mean?

Unique, a prototype with no successors.

Thank you… that makes his comments at the end very meaningful!!!

Mark, unique, one of a kind, an only one of it’s type.

Good to know I have some company around here Mark. Not many Jag Lovers around here, Glenn was in Lake Eslinore but moved to Fallbrook. I no longer have my car, don’t know of another E-type though there were rumors of one. Not on this forum I assume.
