RTM and it says “adjust” it doesn’t say which way is advance or how much each click will advance?

If you turn it clockwise, that is, the top of the knurled nut towards the distributor, the spark will be retarded. At least that’s what I infer from the A<—>R that is cast into my distributor bodies near the vacuum advance module. I assume it would be the same for your distributor.

It isn’t. A total of 6 clicks either way is permitted, two degrees? You can find the real answer on the forums.
