I was looking around and saw a spring for a 68-82 Corvette and I think it looks similar to that of the XJS. Has anyone looked into this to see if it’ll fit?

When I needed a replacement drivers door hinge spring for my wife’s 1990 XJ-S convertible I put in a search on eBay and saved it. Eventually one was listed by someone parting out an XJ-S. I bought it and had my paint shop remove the old hinge with the broken spring and install the replacement hinge with a good spring during the 2014 repaint. That door has worked properly ever since.
If I had another broken door spring in this car I would do the same thing. I have my doubts about a Corvette spring fitting and working properly in an XJS, but have never investigated or tried using one myself.
