My rear, right door, on a 1965 S-type, keeps opening to the intermediate position when I drive on bumpy roads. Opening a window helps a bit as the overpressurized cabin sort of alleviatesvthebproblem.
Locking the door does not help.
Shall I try to find a better door lock mechanism?

I would make the plea for all posters to add their location to their information. It helps greatly to assist you and, at least for me, it is interesting to know where folks are posting from.
