[E-Type] 1970 XKE 4.2 distributor cap firing order photo

Does anyone have a photo showing the location where each #
1-6 wire plugs into cap.

my brother pulled all the wires off the cap b4 marking them.

I have the firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4
and I have the wires marked and on the spark plugs from 1 at
rear to 6 in front.
But I lost my place on the cap where to start the #1.

Any one can help me pleade?–

G’Day Wayne,
Lie under front of car and look at timing pointer on sump, turn crank with a
spanner till marks on damper line up with pointer, take cap off the oil
filler hole and look inside at cam towards front of engine and note whether
it points up at the cover or down at the valve, remove distributor cap and
see where rotor is pointing. If the cam was pointing at cover stick lead to
no 6 in that hole, if cam was pointing down at valve stick no 1 in that
hole. Remove dizzy cap with lead still in it and enlist the aid of a helper
to watch rotor while you turn crank just a little clockwise (way you would
turn it to ‘tighten’ bolt on crank). The direction the rotor turned is the
direction you would add the leads starting at either 1 or 6 you already
installed. The only point of error is not getting contact rotor is pointing
at correct, has to be one at leading edge of rotor in relation to direction
it turns not the trailing edge.

To save you doing this bit, the rotor turns anti-clockwise, and so
the sequence of plug leads goes anti-clockwise–
