I was beginning to dismantle my “solid” 671.5 2+2 and was struck by
this all too familiar tune, the theme to Gilligan’s Island, that I bet we
all can sing along to (apologies to the original).

This is the tail of an XKE,
Her owner bright and sure,
Of what was just an engine rebuild,
Is now a full restore, is now a full restore.

He followed Haynses step by step,
At tools he often swore,
And busted nuts and heater cores,
Is now a full restore, is now a full restore.

The E-Type is in pieces now,
Scattered 'round the floor
The owner’s mad, his wife is sad,
It’s now a full restore, It’s now a full restore.

But seriously. I am following Haynes, step-by-step and I am OK with

that. HOW does one keep track of all these excellent tips from you
tipsters??

Dan, what a GREAT job!!

But how do you have the spare time to write lyrics when there must be so much
to be done on the E-type?
