[E-Type] bentleys manual

Eric, Daniel, Jeb and Mark,
Someone already mentioned it (Jerry I think) that they will say you can
get them but you can’t. I called them in the spring to see if I could
get one and was told they were out of print and have been for about 2
yrs. Later I called back to see if I/we or whoever could get a license
to reprint them for listers, they requested I put it in writing. Wrote
them a snail mail and email, got nothing. Have no clue why they are
making people believe they might get one. Perhaps if they get a big
waiting list they will actually print them again. In the interrim I’d
lurk on Ebay for a deal, occassionally one goes pretty cheaply. But
British Auto, XKs, or Terry’s manual might be a good bet too and you can
actually get one  And Jeb… the Brooklands books story is exactly
what they told me last spring, that perhaps they might have some NOS. I
assume that has been going on for the 2 years its been out of print.
Bentleys has a good reputation, I don’t get why they are doing this.

Daniel,
Were you able to get a Bentley from them? I tried to order it last
month
right from Bentley and the order sat there for 4 weeks. When I called
on
it they told me that they were backordered. Not sure how the publisher
of a
book could run out. Seems kind of strange.

I’d go for the factory shop manual reprints, available from XK’s or
Terry’s
or probably any of them.

I have had great luck with an outfit called: VOSS MOTORS - 888.380.9277 -
they have had everything I asked for and you get it in about two days. Or
you can email them: VossMotors@aol.com and see if they have what you are
looking for. I just noticed they also buy books if you are done with them.
