[E-Type] Crossover pipe

If it is anything like the crossover pipe on a Norton motorcycle,
then it is for noise reduction and is probably a detriment
to proper gas flow.

I can’t find it now, but I recall reading somewhere (Roger Bywaters
site?) that Lofty England had a special interest in exhaust systems and
he put the crossover pipe on the Series III E type simply to make a
pleasing sounding exhaust note
