[E-Type] Dam tappet guide hold downs

Just got my engine all back together and started to add oil,20W50.
I usually just pour in the oil without much thought. This time it
overflowed the fill opening. I pulled cam cover off to see if I had
left a piece of tape or something that would block flow of oil.
What I found was that the tappet stake-down was acting as a dam,
stopping the flow. Maybe using a funnel to direct oil above
camshaft will improve flow ? Will try after replacing hold down
back in. Has anyone had the same experience.

I think that has nothing to do with the holddown kit, seems
to be something else wrong. Better investigate now, before
engine start.
25W-50 is too heavy to use especially on a rebuilt engine.

Yes, same thing. Just pour it in a bit slower.
