Max, back in the days when service stations used to really service cars and
cars had grease zerks, they used to spray a liquid on the rubber bushings that
was supposed to prevent deterioration; unfortunately, I can’t remember what it
was called.

There has been some discussion about this problem and I’ve been toying
with the idea of a formulation that could be sprayed on the rubber parts.
I don’t know if there’s already a product like this out there or not. If
not, does this merit my doing some development?
If I do this I would be looking for examples of failed parts, but just
the rubber sections. Would like to hear from those willing to mail me
some bad pieces. Following that, I would, after determining a working
formula, sample some out to those who would like to run field tests.
Any takers?
I would see this as a routine treatment, like at oil change times.
