Could somebody help me out to confirm the dynamo (generator)
for an MK2 is the same as in an E-Type from 1963? The S1 E-
Type is positive earth, I would assume the MK2 was built under
the same principle and should be interchangeable.

They are different the E type dynamo late 61- 66 is a 220902 or 900
replacement dyno. however the MK 2 dyno has an adaptor for a ps
pump that mounts on the rear…–
