Mateusz,
1 and 3 are correct. ‘‘Converter’’ is not a familiar term,
but if you mean the differential, it is correct, it is
orange colored – the color of Glyptal, which is a
protective paint for cast iron.

I feel better now that you posted that Jerry. I was feeling
really dumb not knowing what a converter was in e-type speak.–

Mateusz,
Sorry, I did not notice the ‘‘BW’’ in your ID number What I
said applies to manual transmissions.
But, in an automatic, isn’t the torque converter the
clutch? There would not be two items, would there? Just
asking, I am not familiar with the BW transmission setup.

In Series 3 E-type with Borg Warner T12 automatic
transmission are three main parts:
gearbox + torque converter + housing of torque converter.
Yes we can say that torque converter is similar to clutch in
manual transmission.–

Sorry Mateusz, English is a funny language. When I saw ‘‘gear
box’’ and ‘‘clutch housing’’ my mind went to a four speed manual
transmission. An automatic transmission never crossed my mind.–
