I don’t have a lube chart I can email but if you order an owners
handbook from XKs Unlimited (you can find them on the web) a very
nice lubrication chart is included. I think it is about $25.

Good luck with the Series 2. Some of us who have had a range of
Jags think it is the best of the bunch. However, if you say so,
prepare to debate.

The one with the Drivers Manual is Poster Size and a little hard to
scan (Ive tried). They look great on the garage wall. I also got a
B/W wiring diagram with the drivers manual.

E mail me , for a copy to send to you.

The most neglected grease spots are the rear drive axle ‘‘U’’
joints.

Niran–If you plan to do some or all of the work on the car you
really need to get a manual. Haynes or Bently are both good once
you figure the suttle differences between the model years.

Start with the steering rack. On the left side by thre rubber boot
is the fitting for the rack and pinion, then on each tie rod end.
Upper and lower ball joints. Removing the tyres will access the
front wheel bearing fittings.

The rear wishbones have 3 nipples each, 1 on the lower outside and
2 on the inside (often hard to get to because of the exhaust
pipes). Each half shaft has 2. the inner univerrsal joint fitting
is obvious, but you must remove the dust guard to access the outer
fitting. Removing the tyre will reveal the wheel bearing grease
cap. Pry it off and fill with grease, but dont really pack it tight
with the preasure of the grease gun.

I think thats it. The 69s had the maintainence free drive shafts,
oh excuse me, propeller shafts (we often like to use proper
English), so I dont believe there are fittings in the universal
joints. Hope this helps.
