[E-Type] [e-type] SIII OTS brake woes

Greetings List,
A good friend of mine has a '74 V12 Series 3 OTS, 4-speed manual, which has
recently undergone a ground-up restoration (not concours; he wanted numerous
modifications from original specs.)

It’s a beautiful automobile, but it has an intermittent problem with the
brakes dragging.

The person who rebuilt the engine, transmission, and suspension can’t seem
to find the problem, or even be able to replicate it. However, when the
owner drives the car, he experiences intermittent brake drag, which is so
pronounced that it will hold the car in place on a 10% grade. This is
independent of ambient temperature or the temp of the engine.

I’ve been following the “rear brakes” thread, and believe that it would be
something worthwhile to check out; however it would seem that if the pins
were missing, the problem would be consistent rather than intermittent.

All brake components have been rebuilt or replaced with new components.
Brake fluid is DOT 4.

Master cylinder has been replaced twice.

Rear calipers (indeed, the entire rear-end along with the rest of the drive
train) has been rebuilt.

Does anyone have more ideas as to what might cause such brake dragging?
