Does anyone have an idea of how many cars were produced a
week in the first few years??–

I’m no expert but a quick look on the net(at xke data) will
give you a rough idea. There were 15,502 series 1 cars
produced from 1961-64, so that is about 74.5 cars per week
or 12 cars a day if they took Sunday off. However it was
probably slower at first. As for LHD FHC, it would appear
that only about 1000 were built by the summer of 1962. So
that would leave 4800 more of this model built until Dec 64.
To get a better idea of the first few years, you could
search the data by serial #'s and determine the build date
and if you do that for all 4 variations you could get pretty
accurate number.–
