I read recently that Eagle etypes have stopped offering FI
on their cars. Does anyone know or have an idea why this
might be the case?

They don’t respond to technical questions, …even though
the Emerald EFI which I believe they use is several thousand
pounds, I can’t see them cost saving on that item when
considering the total cost of the car, a friend has a
similar system on his replica lightweight E and on the over
run, it sounds like small arms fire which in the UK could
lead to some embarrassing moments with our terrorist

Where’s the ‘‘romance’’? Where’s the nostalgia? Side draft
Webers (if that’s what you are referring to), are straight out
of racing history, and just looking at them gives one a
visceral thrill…
Maybe tricky to tune, but what a look ! Just my 2cents

Good luck with that, over here the rice rocket crowd and others pay
extra $ for that feature, not to mention its caused a monster stir
among the F-type reviewers. The overrun noise was one of the most
talked about (and loved) features during the introductory days and
Jaguar planned it, as there’s a switch to calm it down. I’m even
hearing it on motorcycles now, someone’s paying for software or
whatever to cause it. Drifting somewhat off topic but most Harleys
over here you can hear for at least a mile, the constabulary don’t
seem to care.

A good EFI setup using Janvey type twin-choke throttle
bodies on a triple Weber manifold looks as good as triple Webers
Webers.
This is especially true if you get silver rather than black throttle bodies and wear out your engine more quickly by running

Excuse the awful Win10 layout of that last post.
I usually answer on iPhone and there’s no problem.–
