Cool shots, Chuck.

Thanks for sharing - love seeing you all on the road.
The XKSS shots are really great. Glad you and the car are
home safely.–

Ginger/Chuck,
Yes I like XKSS’s too. My all time favorite Jag.
‘‘Like Steve McQueen’’

Hey Chuck did you do a roll on speed test with either one? Yours
was the only car NOT worth a 1/4 Mill in the picture. I hope you
took advantage of the cost benefit ratio and tried out your new
headwork?

I agree. It was an honor to be in the presence of automotive
greatness being used as the designers intended.

Once I finish “Day Four” you may think otherwise however!

heh. My speed test came later, but not with me at the wheel (stay
tuned for “Day Five”.)

I have an upcoming court appearance in Snohomish County for “driving
while overly exuberant” and I’m about to mail my fine into the fine
State of Idaho’s coffers for my incident on US 12… (grrrr) so I’m
trying to curtail my right foot a bit lest I get thrown in jail!

“Le Mans is just the most brilliant event. I’ve done it 14 times,
finishing 3rd in 1990. Ask me how fast I’ve driven and it’s 230mph
down the Mulsanne Strait… ask me how fast I’ve ever crashed at
and it’s 230mph down the Mulsanne Strait.”

‘‘Instant On’’ beat the Valentine, Chuck?

Yes, and no.

Officer Friendly of the Idaho State Patrol was lying in wait about 50
yards beyond the apex of a left hand curve. I was roaring through the
canyon between 75 and 90 MPH. I flew around said curve at speed,
recognized him and got all over my brakes. The car bled off 15+ MPH
in a wonderfully undramatic fashion (love my new brake pads!) before
he lit me up with the Instant-On Ka band assault.

Said I was going 66 MPH, wrote me up for 65 as he was being charitable.

The check is in the mail. =P
