As a former U.S. Navy Sea King helicopter pilot, and current E-Type
owner, I enjoyed the pictures and story, although it was a silly and
meaningless race.

Some years ago I worked for Westland (in an admin rather than
engineering capacity). SeaKings were a regular sight over the
town. We got used to not putting washing out to dry during
the week, as the total loss lubrication system for the
SeaKing’s rotor head sprayed the town with oily aerosol!
SeaKings are still in service in Blighty as well.–
