[E-Type] Info Req - 878222 - HC Mitchell - Roger Wayne Huffer - BHCC

Hi, could not resist temptation for a second round and am
now the proud carer of a black S1 62 OTS LHD (878222),
nicknamed Black Pearl. Carrying a ground up restoration.
All this somehow because I know well that I can rely on the
vast knowledge and support, and great wisdom, available on
this forum.
Short vehicle history:
As per JDHT certificate, the car was bought new and
registered in the UK by H C Mitchell of San Diego CA
end 62, who made a European tour then exported it to the
US.
Last title shows as owner Roger Wayne Huffer, and it was
sold by Beverly Hills Car Center on 28 Mar 2012 for export
back to Europe.
I am keen on learning as much as possible about the cars
history, maybe some of the fellow listers have seen met or
heard about the car or its former owners? All info is most
welcome.
Cheers,–

And forgot to add: the car was repainted bordeaux red at a
certain period of its life in CA, the colour was changed
back to black upon return to the UK.
The ones who might have seen it, may recall a bordeaux
colour.–

Thanks Paul, yes had seen the XKEdata entry made by former
owner/seller who imported it back into the UK. Except that
the concours restoration was intended but never took
place…
Will be updating this properly soon!–

Dear fellow listers, I am trying to locate the former owner of my S1 OTS 878222, which is as per title was Roger Wayne Huffer in San Diego CA.
I have tried internet searches to find some email address through which I could enter into contact, but without success.
I did locate a certain Roger W Huffer, former certified public accountant, aged 78, but regretfully no email.
Only the address is shown:
Roger W Huffer
3633 Camino Del Rio South 303
San Diego, CA 92108

My simple objective is to gather as much as possible of car’s history.
Sounds a bit strange, but thought I would rather ask if any folks living in the neighbourhood could eventually help?
Thanks for your attention!
