Great to hear from another Landrover enthusiast on this forum!

I bought mine to collect my rebuilt E-type engine a couple of years
ago (didn’t trust the delivery company) and haven’t looked back
since.–

I have two Jaguars and two Landrovers and I do most of the work on
them myself - I can tell you that if you do that you do need to
have a really good sense of humour - particularly if you work on
Landrovers - life can be difficult.

Nope–just funning around. There was a big discussion recently about the
use of the word “plastic”. That’s why I was kidding about the use of
"plastic ‘type’. I guess these lines started out as a white color and
yellowed out over time. I believe mine are original and are nice and
yellow–and, still very strong. They will probably be on the car when i am
long gone.

Cheers
tom

When I got my basket case, the lines had hardened and cracked to the
point that they were unusable. I bought the $30 kit from one of the
usuals to replace them. Now they are nice and yellow but show no signs
of leaking.

One tip, spray the banjo fittings with something like WD-40 and you can
usually muscle the tubing on without too much stress. I did try heating
the tubing at first but was not pleased with the results. Others have
clamped the banjo fittings between two pieces of wood in a vise and
forced the tubing on but I didn’t have to work that hard.
