[E-Type] Jaginator's new facelift and derrire

I posted some progress pictures of my reworking of my 2+2.
I’ve transformed the rear end to a series 1 as well as
removed clunky front turn lights and side marker lights.
I am leaving off the bumpers also to give it more of a
racer feel.

I’m contemplating installing either 17’’ wire wheels or D
Type alloy racing wheels.

It was painted over the weekend and will post more
pictures soon. It now goes back to garage for reinstall of
engine and many other new parts.

I know it isn’t to everybody’s liking, but since it isn’t
a concours level car and a 2+2, I wanted to make it look a
bit more modern as well as show off its sleek lines.

As far as I am concerned all is good since you did not put
a crate GM motor in it because, as we all know a Jaguar
engine, six or twelve cylinder, is sooo complicated.

It is your cat and as long as you treat her well, all is
good. Mine has been up on stands for over a year while I
slowly gather odds and ends and try to finish the project
Ranchero I was working on when I acquired her.
Good luck and congratulations on making progress.
Personally, I like a bumper on something I drive. With the
longer wheelbase and since you want a ‘‘racer’’ feel, the
alloy wheels may work. Photoshop is your friend for that
decision.
Again, good luck.–

Not sure you can get off the self 17 inch wires. I gave up
and just went with wider wheels at 15. But with wider
wheels you really should get power steering. I put in
electric and really goad. Spent years trying to.musle.into
parking spaces.–

Very nice Dan! Personally I would go with the D type wheels
but thats just my opinion.
Cheers,

Dear Dan,

With only a small amount of sheet metal work, MX5 (Miata) front
indicators fit very nicely. I haven’t posted any pics of that part
of my car but will pm you some.

kind regards
