I have got a small problem here. Has any one else had a problem
with the rear end (pinion) seal leaking with synthetic oils, in this
case Mobile 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant. The rear end has not
even been installed yet. Just filled to the proper level, then about
a week later it was tipped forward to give better access to install
the rear springs/shocks. After about 90 minutes it was again set
upright and the new seal had leaked enough oil to make a 1 1/2
inch spot on the floor. Again it is a new leather seal on a good
flange, no groves at all on the flange. Should I just drain the Mobile 1
out and replace it with some other non synthetic gear lub with
anti lock additive ? Thanks all
