[E-Type] More Heater Box!

My heater box is back from the industrial sandblasting place and is
beautiful. One faus pas - that little chute that forms the air dump -
neither of us realized that it was plastic and the sandblasting blew a
little hole in it - already fixed with some sealer.

Question - how is that little plastic chute painted? Black like the
rest of the box or, do I seem to remember that it had something like a
cast aluminum color?

Just took mine apart today and it appears to be the color of
cast aluminum.----- Original Message -----

I was afraid that you were going to say that! Looks like mine will be
black like the rest of the box. I am planning to paint today and not sure
that I want to go through all that masking - to say nothing of going back
to the market for cast aluminum.

Are all you concours enthusiasts listening so that you can look up under
the heaters for color of the air dump? (smile!)

Gene, my new Robey heater box has a black one…BTW, now is the time to
install all new flap seals, gaskets etc. I have them in stock, British
Auto USA carries them in the USA…

I might be able to come up with an extra one if that would help.
All you do is drill out the pop rivets to remove your old one,
replace, and re-rivet.
