Good morning everyone,
For those of you that rely on parts manuals, I need some input. I
am wanting to get a parts manual for my series 1.5 E-Type 2+2.
Since the '68 is the conversion model from the series 1 to the
series 2, would I be better off to find a parts manual for the
series 2? Basically, what is the difference between the series 1
parts manual and the series 2?
TIA for your insight. Thom–

Thom if you want full coverage here is what you need, You
need a J38 (Jaguar series 1 E-Type 2+2)( which you can purchase
from JCNA -Jaguar clubs of North America for less than elsewhere)
for starters then you need a 1968 parts suppliment (which you can
buy from (XKE Books). The series 2 manual does share some parts
with the 1968 but you would be better served in the direction I
suggested.–

That is a later version of the series 2 catalog (ue) but the one
you linked is a reprint and I can not speak to it. JCNA does not
have the IPL (yet) but Richard L has done a wonderful job with the
help of some to produce the illustrated series 2. He offers the IPL
for the 1968 car on his site–as far as I know he is the only
source for this reprint-I have not seen it and do not know if it
has all of the admendments but it is a start. It must be used with
the J38 if this is for a 1968 car as I thought I read. There were a
lot of IPLs issued and while not illustrated they are easy to use
and almost always accurate.–

Where does this fit in George - the IPL5/2 name looks a bit odd?
I’ve mostly just seen the typed list of S2 parts descriptions and
numbers rather than a proper illustrated S2 book. Are these
available from JCNA too?
