Dave, I have a large container I throw my change into daily. (I
hate change in my pockets)I seperate the ‘‘silver’’ from the pennies
in a different container. I just took the pennies to one of those
counting machines at the grocery store because it was overflowing.
After their 8% for counting, I came out with $96.( the silver was
considerably more) I spent it right away on a cat door for my 3
little ‘‘jaguars’’. One of those magnetic locking ones.
Just imagine if 300 million households in the US would spend
their ‘‘change’’ in the next couple of weeks. The cash flow would
most likely bring us out off the slump we are in.–

One of our list members designed that machine.

Another good point this link makes: The difference between an
American ‘billion’ and the rest of the world’s ‘billions.’ One of
those things that as a scientist, I have to translate on a near-
daily basis!–
