[E-Type] Priming oil pump on a 4.2

In reply to a message from Beagle80 sent Sat 7 Aug 2010:

Hi, another way to prime the engine (I always do it) is to get a
garden sprayer (2 gallon) remove the nozzle and get a barbed brass
fitting with the thread size that matches the galley plug bolts on
the lower right side of the block. Use a small hose clamps and
section of hose then fit it to the sprayer and push the barbed
fitting into this hose Add 3 quarts of oil and pressurize the
sprayer. Remove a plug, or the oil pressure sensor for the dash
light then screw in the brass fitting. Then remove the oil filler
cap on the cam cover and when the oil starts to flow out of cam
bearings or lobes, you are primed.

                                         Regards,
                                          Allen--
