[E-Type] PrtyKty crashed :-(

Yesterday I met with a dozen other Jaguars from the internet group and
took a spirited driving tour along highway one, just north of San
Francisco. We had lunch at Stinson Beach, a small town on the coast, and
ended the day with a margarita in Sausalito.
a guy from San Diego took a prize for coming the farthest to the
meet. PrtyKty won a prize for being the oldest car at the meet. Then, by
vote, PrtyKty also won the grand prize for “best of show”. That was
quite an honor, competing against all those “perfect” Jag club
automobiles.
Then, on the way home, in the stop-and-go traffic just before the
Golden Gate bridge, a young woman rear ended me. Bent up 4 of the 5
piece rear bumper. Two of these pieces ahve to be straightened and
fitted to the body before chroming, so it is going to take some time.
And PrtyKty is entered in a concourse which is in less than three weeks.
…sigh…
And PrtyKty had only 1442 miles on her.

LLoyd,
IWhile reading 'bout PrtKty, I said out loud (I’m alone) OH NO! Did this gal
get cited? No matter, call her Insurance Co… ASAP and tell them the Bumpers
should NOT be straighten but Replaced! Boy we hope that’s ALL she did. Get
'em ordered and on!
With some work and luck, you’ll make the show. Good Luck!

Good luck Lloyd - maybe we should form a ‘Rear Ended Club’?–

Right Angus,
Hoping the membership stays REAL low.

Be careful!! We don’t want to offend any Greek members of the list.

(I’m sorry, that was in extremely bad taste, and I will gladly put up with
all the ‘Southern’ jokes anyone wants to hurl my way)

Lloyd,
I’m sure that we all feel your pain as an accident in an E-Type seems to
affect al of us. Just remember, bumpers can be replaced, paint can often
be matched, and in your case, a nice white zinfandel and some decent brie
can numb any pain that you may be experiencing.

…ahhh, stop. Breath…, there. Now there is some advice I can
use.RElax a bit.
Got it to a good body shop today. The trick will be if we can get the
bumper to the chrome shop and back in time for the concourse. I already
paid my bucks.
