[E-Type] Re: Lucas wire connectors/ fuse blocks

I too have experienced the lack of quality in the original single, double,
etc.wire connectors. In rewiring my car I found most were weak and subject
to collapse with just a bit of a squeeze. I have replaced all of them as well
as the connector block for the bonnet headlamp wires. I also experienced a
failure(by way of similar corrosion in one of the fuse blocks in the center
dash) Replace all of them as well.

I’ve replaced most of my 2 and 4 way female bullet connectors. They’re
comparitively cheap. One part that broke was two of the little bullet
ground straps in the boot. These are the little things that the
tailight and backup light ground wires plug in to. I called several
vendors and they were not available.

I ended up making some from some 1/2 inch wide brass stock from the
hardware store. They seem to work better than the originals.
