[E-Type] RHD E-Type accelerator linkage

Does anyone know what the measurements are for the link that runs
from the Dunlop servo across the RHD bulkhead (firewall) to just
above the wiper motor. I also need the diameter. Is there anything
perculiar about this link i.e. is there a left hand thread on one
end or are they both standard.

   Regards

Hi David,

The link on my ‘62 measures 10 3/8’’ centre to centre of the sockets.
One end has a spring socket screwed on. The other end has a similar
socket fixed with a compression device which allows a sliding adjustment
for the length of the link. The link is identical to the vertical link from the
pedal lever, except that it is longer. The rod dia. is .220’’ and the whole
assembly should be zinc plated.

I believe that these type links and socket joints were used on other
British cars and may be adaptable.–
