[E-Type] S1.5 2+2 Under Dash Trim - what should there be?

I do not have any trim under the dash in my S1.5 2+2, and I’m
confused as to what there should be. I’ve seen reference to
underdash harduras, underdash trim, and parcel trays.

I’m assuming the Harduras fit directly underneeth and cover all the
wiring etc. and provide a level of sound proofing.

What about trims and parcel trays, should I have both, or were
trays an option replacing trims?

Can anyone enlighten me, pictures would be great.

Cheers.
Pete.–

Pete:
IIRC, the 2+2 should have the parcel trays unless factory AC
was fitted, in which case they did not.

Andy you are correct but one of the issues that confuses things is
that the dealers here in the US were told–’‘or it was strongly
suggested’’ that 2+2 cars have the under trays removed for cars on
the lot. The thought (and they were correct) was when a customer
sat in the car the additional space was a selling point. A lot of
cars never got their trays back.–

Great tid bit George! I had a 67 2+2 many years ago (1978),
and it still had them. I guess it varied by dealer. That car
was probably sold by Jaguar Cleveland originally.–
