Right side-----where the rack bolts to the rubber mount---------are the RACK mount holes that attach to the mount elongated? Mine are----and I have checked one other source and they are.
I was thinking they had been “wallowed” out by a PO–thus giving me the creak/pop noise when making a hard right turn------------------but, maybe not.
there is a photo about half-way down on the left that shows
the right-hand end of the rack with it’s bushing exposed.
Behind the bushing is the mounting plate, and it does appear
that the holes that mount it to the studs on the rack mount
are elongated somewhat horizontally. The later photos of the
LH end are not so clear, but I couldn’t see the same
elongation at that end. So, I’d assume that the elongation
at the RH end is to accommodate manufacturing tolerances on
the car to ensure the rack bolts up to the picture frame OK.
