[E-Type] Security / Stolen Registers

Can anyone in the US advise how I would go about checking my e-type
is not recorded on a security or stolen vehicles register in the
US. Last registration was in 1989 state of Indiana.

I have tracked back to the last rego’d owner but would like to do
the checks before contacting them.

Cheers

Hi Tom,
I talked to my son today and the US does have some kind of national
registry of stolen cars but it doesn’t go back to many years, Rob
thought maybe seven or so. Soooo- if you’d like jim to check on your
car I’ll need the Year, model and vin number.

In reply to a message from Robert Stevenson sent Mon 7 Jul 2008:

Thanks Robert,

My parents are travelling through the US this month so my father is
going to drop by the last known residential address and ask about
the car.

They see it as their way of getting off the tourist trail.

Regards,

I’m sure that you’ll find that everything is alright with the car. I
hope that your folks have a nice visit!
