[E-Type] SII Horn Relay

Made a stupid mistake by not leaving part of the wire on
the relay when removing the old harness. Now that I am
installing a new engine harness I can’t remember where each
of the four wires connect to the horn relay and the relay
is not marked C1, C2, W1 and W2. The relay has 5 connectors
two at the top side by side one at the center and other at
the center slightly to the left of center and a bottom. Can
anyone identify each of those? Thanks–

W2 to PB ; W1 to G ( from fuse 7 ) ; C1 to PY ; C2 to NP
(from fuse 3 ). According to my wiring diagram there are
only 4 wires on this relay…if you have 5 wires then maybe
you have the wrong relay…the horn relay is unique!
Marv, I cannot believe that you would do a harness job
without a wiring diagram!!? If you need one see Coolcat
Corp under FAQ.–

John,

I have a wiring diagram. It’s the relay that is not marked.
The diagram identifies the location of each wire, but the
relay is not marked C1, C2, W1, W2. The relay has five
connectors which I pointed out in my first post, and I have
four wires to connect. One post will not be connected. . I
just need to know how to identify each connector on the
relay.–

Merv, the horn relay is a 33209 type. If you hold the relay
so you are looking at the bottom face, with the case lugs at
the top…then top L is C1, bottom L is W2, C2 is in the
centre,and W1 is top R. The resistance between W1 and W2 is
15 ohms, whereas most other relays are approx 70 ohms W1 to W2–

If the horn relay is a recent purchase, ask the supplier to ID. I did this
with Moss Motors once.

John & Marv,
I think this relay must be standard replacement. I have the
same 4-prong orig relay 1964 s1), replaced with the 5-prong
one Martv apparently has. Marv, if you want I can take a pic
and email it to you to see the wiring. Or describe it in
words. I just now snapped one, it shows the wires beautifully.
Does it matter that I have a Christian S1 (converted to neg
earth) ? PM me if you want it.

Marv,
Two of the 5 connectors are the same point no? That is C1, one in the
middle is C2. With C1 in the upper left W2 is lower left and W1 is
upper right if it is the correct relay. One post of C1 is not used.
