I’m not sure what this responsible is you’re talking about… I’ll
still have my motorcycle, race car and this old Jag, and a healthy
dose of high test petrol in my veins. The only responsible thing I
did recently was to sell my '73 911 to make room for the Jag, and buy
a (360HP V8, RWD) family car.
For those of you who weren’t around back in 2000-2003 when I was
active on here I guess I need to “reintroduce” my car after the 10+
year hiatus from this mail list…
XK-140-E
1955 XK 140 OTS, “MC”
3.8L from a 61 E, Ported & Polished, cams, and valves by Bill Terry.
Hayward and Scott custom headers, Classic Jaguar aluminum flywheel,
Ron Davis aluminum radiator
Front disc brakes from E-type converted to Classic Jaguar Wilwoods
Classic Jaguar torsion bars, sway bar, poly bushings
Classic Jaguar 5 speed conversion with Hurst shifter
E-type gauges
E-type steering column
E-type pedals
And most uniquely E-type IRS
From what we were told when we bought the car in 2000, the E-type
conversion was done in the 60’s or 70’s… Presumedly someone had a
wrecked E-type and a worn out 140 and decided to combine the two. Dad
and I did most of the “restoration” while I was in high school between
2000 and 2003 including all the Classic Jaguar suspension parts,
engine rebuild, with the body work being done by a local guy and
interior by Bill Bassett
You can read some more about it at my old website (not updated since 2003…)

Brandon;
I don’t know 'bout you “coming back”… You were a
sixteen year old kid, back in the day… Now you’re all
married, a father, got responsible and everything… You
might not “fit in” any more ;-}
Seriously, it will be good to have you and your unique
“XK-140-E-Type Jaguar” on the list, again…
You WILL have a LOT of “catching-up” to do for us
old-timers…

Left my dad’s in Florida this afternoon, supposed to be to me on
Wednesday…
Looks like I’ll be getting a little more active on here soon. Hard to
believe we “finished” restoring this over 11 years ago now! Got lots
of little odds and ends to get it fully sorted. Hopefully everything
works out with the shipper
