Sir;
Looks and sounds like a great machine, probably a fast race
car of years ago.
Because of my sheltered life I know not what this is. Please
give me a clue. I know nothing of British racing.
Regards, Joel.–

It would take a mighty & brave man to start that beast with a hand
crank as it is so equipped.
Or are plug wires just cross arcing?

This is the Fiat land speed record car of, I think 1912,
which had not been run for 100 years until it was completely
rebuilt by Duncan Pittaway and run for the first time this
year. The engine is 28 litres ( about 1650 cu.in ) with only 4
cylinders - so each cylinder is as big as a complete 427 Cobra
engine–

Christopher;
Thank you for your reply. The fire coming out of the exhaust
stacks is great.
