Could you provide a source for your answer. I have seen many on the
pass. side (LHD). I do not have time to research this right now but
using the secondary source of Haddock page 162 would show it on the
pass. side (LHD).–

My late series 2 had it on the left side (drivers), centered approximately 7 3/4 inchs from the side. That was the original top and sign.

My driveway is long enough that you can appreciate the conflict between the desire for privacy and the terror of being completely lost .

Mine is on the passenger side. Always has been. When I redid the top,
(hood) there were no holes in the left side to indicate that it had ever
been there.

This is strange, folks.
That’s because Georges car was made just a few before mine.
So, apparently, you may put it anywhere you darned well seem fit. It must be determined by who was working on the line that day.

I have only seen them on the RH side, or passenger side of a
LHD car. Not to say that it was never put on the driver’s
side, but of all the original cars I have seen and reviewed,
I have only seen it on the passenger side.

Can anybody tell me the location of the following label ‘‘Tilt seat
before lowering or raising top’’
Is it on the convertible top canopy in front of the driver or
passenger?

After I get my new seats installed I’m going to change the warning
to say,
‘‘Tilt seat before lowering or raising top, or die!’’–

Hi George,
Our 69 has never had the header recovered and the sign is exactly as
pictured in Haddocks book on the LHS.

Weird. Seems mine is the only LHD in the world that came with it on the left side.

Just saw the Stones performance at the Super Bowl. Great! I tell ya,
they certainly are living proof that what we have been told by the
government and our parents, all of our lives, about drugs and alcohol is
untrue. Ol’ Mick really moves, still! I’m 62, which is about Mick’s
age. Seeing him move around on stage makes me wonder if my problem is
that I haven’t drunk enough alkihaul! ;-))
A tip of the hat, and a cigar for George. It’s one of those “memorable phrases” from the first Harry Potter movie.
Someday a great phrase will be…, “It’s not just a Jaguar, it’s an ‘E’ type”

This is interesting since these little warning signs on my 74
series 3 hood are on the side frames on both sides just ahead of
the hinge (where their warning was apparently easily forgotten by
the PO until it was too late). The position on the front rail
makes a lot more sense to me.–

Benny,
Its on the right side, in front of the passenger on a lhd car, roughly 5.5’’ to the left of the right top latch. If you would like graphic info this question was asked once before some time ago so I took a pic and can send it to you.
