Hi folks,
I am getting ready to order a rebuild kit for my brake servo cylinder on the
66 FHC from XK’s Unlimited for around $60 bucks. XK’s Unlimited said it will
cost an additional $123 and take approx 4 weeks to re-sleeve my cylinder if
I find it is pitted.
Are there any quicker options out there if I need it sleeved?
I put 100+ twisty, hard miles on yesterday and very little brake fluid if
any transferred from one reservoir to the other like last week, but I am
sure the problem needs immediate attention.

Scott,
I had numerous brake, clutch etc cylinders done by Apple Hydraulics
and their turn around time is much less then four weeks, more like two.

I don’t believe that White Post will sleeve without doing the
rebuilding.

Apple will re-sleeve for $90 with one week turnaround.
They also do complete re-build for $395 but have a 1 year warranty. White
post mentioned particular paints used to make it look great for quick bolt
on.

sure it is great work.

Scott,
Do it yourself and put the saved money into some other project.
They’re not difficult to rebuild just watch the way it comes apart
and make sure that the little retaining pin goes into the right
position.
