[E-Type] USA trip, once more on our adventures!

G’Day All,
We get on the first flight Sunday 4th May (still Saturday in USA) to spend a
few days with friends at Robina in Queensland. Then lob into LA on 9th May
to spend a few days with my son’s mother in law at Oxnard. Next hop is to
SF arriving about 1250 on 12th May for a one night stay. We are booked into
the Red Roof Inn Burlingame (777 Airport Boulevarde). We are hoping to meet
some of you for an evening meal. Jerry Mouton has offered to make
arrangements and this would seem much better than me trying to do it. Some
have already said they would like to be in it if their other commitments
allow. I will lose my internet access from Saturday night 3rd May here in
Oz (still Friday in USA) till I get to Seattle (at my son’s home) on 14th
May. We (I?) would really like to meet some of the people whose posts I
have been reading for a long time. If you can attend the SF event please
contact Jerry. Chuck G has offered to arrange an event in Seattle if any
people are interested on either May 31 or June 1 which would make a great
finale to our time in Seattle. We would be delighted to meet like minded
people here too. We are planning to hire a car while in Seattle (Issaquah)
as we are there for three weeks. From Seattle we have a few days in Salt
Lake City with relatives and Paul W is going to meet us there (arrive 1830
on 6th June, depart 1150 on 10 June). The next hop is to London where there
are more rellies to see (we are staying at Kew a few days where I am hoping
to find some info about ancestors in the National Archives). Meeting some
Jag people in the USA will be icing on an already great cake. The biggest
event on the trip is our grand daughter’s second birthday during your
holiday weekend. The weather here has certainly turned cool here with the
sun moving north (well beyond the equinox by now) so I am hoping it is
getting better on your side of the big dividing line. I have noted the
recent snow story posts, that looks like you guys are getting all the bad
weather out of the way in time for our arrival :-)) (yes I know death and
taxes).
